I'm beyond excited. Two days ago I decided that I wanted to use individual bond method to install individual strands of Russian hair. I ordered a kilo of 13" "original" virgin ponytails from http://www.russianhair.net/. They're offererd at http://www.russianhair.net/ for $300! My hair was delivered this morning, and those ponytails are beautiful. I asked for dark brown/reddish tones and the colors are astounding. Some won't even require any coloring to match my hair. (Hey, you were right,... there IS virgin hair to match my color.) And the length is perfect for the style I'm wearing now. The ponys are a natural length because they haven't been drawn so those individual strands are going to blend easily into my hair without any extra razoring. I'm guessing a slight trim around the perimeter will be all I will need to have the style I love. And at the price of this hair (approximately $25 an install) I can, if I want, toss the hair after a single wearing. ::gasp!::

Anyway, I've laid out the full kilo on my bed, in preparation for some fun later. I thought I'd take a picture before those ponytails get all messed up. <wink, wink> I think I'm going to do my install this weekend so should have a full review with before and after pictures sometime next week.

Hi!

I'm new, and even though I've spent a lot of time reading posts at ... and here, I've never posted before. And what pushed me over the edge is this:

Tomorrow morning, circa 10:30 a.m., a certain FedEx truck will be pulling up to my house and depositing a certain package on my front porch containing a certain someone's raved-about Russian hair.

I'm so excited I could explode! Very Happy

To make a long story short, like I did with my hair, I'm tired of having the Jean Seberg cut, which I've had for the past few years. I've been growing it out for a few months and it's juuuuust now getting to that awkwardly terrible mullet stage. And it's awful. God awful. And on top of that, I've just gotten a pretty prestigious internship at a pretty prestigious publication, and I don't want to be Little Miss Mullet all semester. And so, after months of research, and lots of debating, and tons of fear from my boyfriend, and lots of peering sadly at my poor little wallet, and plenty of...oh whatever, I bit the bullet and ordered 6 oz. of 14 inch medium brown wavy double drawn hair from http://www.russianhair.net/. (By the way, http://www.russianhair.net/, thanks for putting up with all my emails, you were fantastic.)

I'm so nervous!!!!! To save some money, I had the hair machine-wefted at ..., so I'm nervous about how those wefts will turn out...if they'll shed, if they'll be too big. I'm also nervous about the color (I have, apparently, the strangest natural hair color in the world, a blend of ash and auburn tones), so I'm guessing I'll have to alter it a bit. But primarily I'm nervous about the texture. Having seen that most of the pictures on the site feature straight or very loosely wavy hair, I emailed http://www.russianhair.net/ and asked for a tighter wave pattern. What I meant was like...you know...gorgeously perfect Giselle Bundschen hair...big, beautiful, beachy waves. Or like the beautiful waves I saw ... posted a while back. Aaaanyway, now I'm sitting here like, "Oh ****, what if they sent me like tight little waves, or waves that look like Italian wavy hair?!" And I've already had it wefted elsewhere, so sending it back would not be an option. Maybe I could have it permed? But I definitely don't want to damage it.

Yarrrrrrrrrr!

Well we'll see, ladies! I'll know in about 12 hours! I'll post some pictures and hopefully you can give me some advice, how 'bout it?

It was Russian Orthodox Christmas on Jan. 7

...! Before you do anything wash and condition your wefts right out of the package. The reason for that is when they weft the hair, it lyes like "unorganized spoons" in the drawer. After you will wash it, towel dry it and jam it a little with a towel to let it air dry, the wavy hair will be "spooning" again and you will have a gorgeous natural wave.

In addition you will make sure that some knuckle head did not reverse your hair while wefting. Twisted Evil

That's a good idea to check the hair out after getting it back from ..., just to be sure. When I had my Russian hair wefted by them, I had a kind of weird experience with the customer service there. I still haven't figured out what actually happened. But the wefting they did on my hair turned out just fine.

I've got to say that I prefer the micro wefts that http://www.russianhair.net/ wefter makes because they are more dense with hair, allowing me to have more hair with less wefts. They're also very small and flat, making for nearly invisible installs.

Hello ..., just take deep breaths, deep breaths in thru the nose out thru the mouth, ull be ok.
OOOOOOOOOOOhhhhh russian hair that will be great on u. I think u can do a lot w/ur hair shaped like a mullet. Look at linsay lohan and paris h, they both have short hair, LL a mullet, but the hair blends beautifully w/theirs. they both wear/wore extns. U might have to razor it, or install and go get a dry cut somewhere if u dont want to cut it. I think ur hair will look great. Good luck on the internship. what publication are u working at (if u dont mind me askin and if u want to say)..if u dont thats ok too.

Me again, this time with the hair!

Oh my...oh my...

I've never bought extension hair before, but this stuff is GORgeous. And it smells divine. And this is a tad creepy but even though I didn't mention anything about color to http://www.russianhair.net/ (I thought I'd color it, especially since I have that odd blend of ashy and auburn tones I mentioned before), it is an EXACT match to my hair color. It's crazy.

So I went out and bought some Hello Hydration today to wash it...how can I tell that no one at ... messed up the cuticles after it's washed?

it's not something i've ever thought about really, i've not chosen nor withheld my money from anywhere just because a site looked 'cheap'....if there is no way to contact them or there is no communication when i have a question that's when i decide not to place an order

Oh who-the-**** cares about how a website looks as long as the product is of a good quality, the customer service is first-rate and the store itself is secure.

Your site looks and works just fine! You've got decent pictures that accurately represent your product, your site is easy to use, and the ordering process simple.
